To tell the truth I am from the East coast and this is just about the way
they do this dish in New England and the fact of the matter is that it’s
not much different from the way they do it in the UK! Although I do prefer
Malt vinegar over any type of tartar sauce these fish and chips are right
on the money!
Frying your chips in beef dripping is the way to do it!
I am not sure of this but I think in England they add yeast to thier
batter, also Haddock and Whiting are awesome fish to use for Fish and
Chips. I work in the seafood dept.. of a Major grocery store in Florida.
Despite the nice recipe, the video and voice over are not as good as
‘normal’ videos. Editing lacks a lot of professionalism compared to the
rest. Hate to say it.
where did the other narrator go? her voice was better
Don’t care for the voice not the same but nice recipe.
A kiwi favorite 🙂
I agree i like the other voice
I Would agree… also, I think she mentioned New England (I am a proud
resident!).. New England fish and chips are much different than the fish
and chips made at chipperies in the UK.. personally, I prefer the real deal
english/irish stuff! But this did look mighty tasty as well.
hmmmm … im gonna use some of these steps in my recipe
i dont know if it is expensive there but try to fry in olive oil ^^ its
really good and healthier!
Good suggestion!
Enjoy!
Good idea! But yes, it is expensive….very…
Beer is much better…and add a half cup of cornstarch…makes a really
light and airy fish!!….but still crispy!
Please slow down when you talk!
Thank you for your suggestions!
Olive oil will burn if you use it for frying since it has a lower smoking
point.
fish batter made from milk?
I would also recommend adding corn syrup to the potato water during the
blanching stage, as it will add a sweet taste to the chips.
