It’s good for you
Is that flour tortilla or corn?
I use the flour tortillas. The ones int he video are homemade, but I have
also used the store bought 8 or 10 inch tortillas.
Which is why flour tortillas are better for taco salad shells, they’ll get
the bubbles and have just thr right mix of soft and crisp. 🙂
That was pretty smart; if I’d seen you video first, I could have saved
money on the taco making tins…Oh well, still pretty ingenius..
I have used the “baking” method. While it does create a nicely shaped bowl
that is indeed healthier, it does not taste the same. The fried bowl will
give you the more restaurant style flavor. The “baked” bowl seemed to me
to have a chewier texture. As far as having more bowl shape, I have only
had problems getting a good bowl shape when I tried to use too small of
tortillas for my bowl. The tortilla needs to be able to fit around the bowl.
looks gross! Buy the tortilla set. for 10 bucks weel woth all the grease!!
Thanks for the tutorial, it is a great one. The problem with the health
nuts is they do not seem to understand that sometimes you just want to eat
a GOOD MEAL.The baked one might as well be a plastic bowl it is not worth
eating. Just because you are a health nut, does not mean that there is not
mean that you should make negative comments when a recipe focuses on TASTE.
It took me a LONG TIME to find this recipie because all that is out there
is healthy tasteless ones. Thanks for posting!
maybe they aren’t going for healthy.
I always wondered how these “bowls” were made. Thanks!
Sweet!
You done good! that’s what i was wanting to know, how to make a crunchy
taco bowl! Those baked ones lack real taste, guess you need lots of oil for
flavor!
Contractor – Builder – Inventor… Good video. I love taco salad and you
have shown me how to do that delicious TACO FLOWER SHELL.
Thanks.
