The ingredients are similar to karaage, japanese fried chicken, minus the
vinegar. Looks really tasty tho!
+JeusEx Thank you!

Oh no! He’s found us!!!
Greggg!!
Looks delicious Hilah, great recipe !
I kind of miss the retro 70’s kitchen
Hi, Hilah. That chicken looks really gorgeous and mouthwatering. You really
are a genius when it comes to cooking. I have a question, do you have any
tips on how to be a great cook or baker? Please let me know. See ya in the
next vid, Hilah. Byron. ;-)
+Byron Chandler Hey Byron! Like anything, the key to getting to be a great
cook is to practice a lot! And once you have a recipe really perfected,
start playing around with it by adding a small amount of one new herb or
spice and see how you like it that way. By trying new combinations in a
recipe, you’ll probably come up with new ideas to try with other recipes,
too.
i love general tso’s chicken and this looks very similar. yummy.
What kind of oil do you use for frying? Would coconut oil work?
I would say peanut oil would be the best for frying.
yes coconut oil is good..or peanut oil.
Looks delicious hon
You are my favorite
I like to do this with chicken drumsticks…they already have a “handle”.
Thighs are good, too….the marinating time is a bit longer, for dark meat,
but pays off in the end.
This looks delicious! How did this compare to the ginger fried chicken you
had in Hawaii? Would you say the batter on their vs yours had more spices
and maybe more ginger in it or was it about the same? Just curious. ^_^
I love ginger and I love fried chicken, this is a great recipe!
My sister prefers thighs. I think she’s weird.
She reminds me of Phoebe from friends. :)
this looks great and simple I’m going to try this for sure
Love it, got to make it! I love what ginger and shoyu do to chicken!
well that looks really good!
I have just tried it and it tastes incredibly delicious. Crispy on the
outside and tender on the inside. And it is super easy and quick to make.
Hilah I make this all the time with rice vinegar – I would recommend trying
to use potato starch instead. It gives the crust a more light, crispy
crunch. Delicious!
You look super cute with the pigtails. Also, with all the sodium in the soy
sauce, you probably could have left that chicken out for a few days and
still been safe to cook/eat. (Ok maybe not that long but an hour is no big
whoop.) Later Hilah!
