I'll show you how to make really delicious battered pineapple chicken balls.
You'll find these pineapple chicken balls in most Chinese restaurants.

These chicken balls are deep fried to perfection,
and then mixed up with your favorite bottled pineapple sauce, plum sauce,
sweet and sour sauce or cherry sauce.

You get a nice bit of crispy outside, with a nice fluffy inside, and the chicken in the middle.

I bet you can't eat just one of these !

  4. RomanticStyle98 says:

mmm this is making me hungry i really want this dish right now.

  5. Colin Doran says:

Do you need the corn meal ??

    • BakeLikeAPro says:

Hi Colin, you can make the recipe without it, but the corn meal add some
really lovely flavor to my batter. If you do not have it in stock, don’t
let that stop you from making them, simply omit the corn meal, and increase
the flour, add a few more spices in, whatever you like, that is… and
you’ll still have very tasty chicken balls. If you get the chance to buy
corn meal, store it in an air tight container like a peanut butter jar, and
it lasts for a LONG time, it’s inexpensive too. Get a fine grind, you can
get course and fine, fine grind is better. I hope that helps Colin and
thanks for stopping by my channel !

    • glazese says:

Come on chef you have to make your own pineapple sauce from scratch :0)

    • BakeLikeAPro says:

Hi glazese, funny thing, I have been making my own sweet and sour sauce for
      a long time ( hmm maybe 20 years ) I have never filmed it. I guess I
should. I’ll put this on my to-do list,
so maybe I’ll do this some time in the near future.

  14. Candi Smith says:

Did I miss something? I didn’t see anywhere on the video where you used
    pineapple.

    • BakeLikeAPro says:

The sauce I used was indeed pineapple sauce, the bits in it are very small,
so it wasn’t apparent on the video but indeed it was. You can of course
use any pineapple sauce you wish, and add fresh pineapple to it.

    • Candi Smith says:

Okay, thanks for clearing that up for me. Have a nice day.

    • BakeLikeAPro says:

      +Candi Smith you’re welcome 🙂

  15. Cherish Kaikala Malu says:

Looks very good, I was wondering chef can I try using thighs? Or you prefer
    breast instead?

  16. mucnagow2 says:

Looks good. Just think, if you would write the ingredients & amounts or
post it on a blog…even deaf people could make it. ;)

  17. Angie Long says:

Hi chef! I love your videos! I was wondering how hot the oil had to be?
Also do you have an instructional video on how to make egg rolls and
    chicken fried rice? Thank you!

    • BakeLikeAPro says:

+Angie Long Hi Angie, thank you for your kind words. I guess I forgot to
mention the oil temp… oops ! You want to go for 350 degrees F. Anything
much higher and the chicken won’t cook property, and the batter will brown
too quickly. 350 degrees F is a perfect temp. If you go to 360 it’s ok too
but stay clear of anything like 375, it’s just too hot. I hope you try
these out, you will love them, I promise 🙂 I have made egg rolls many
times, but never on camera, and I they are far from authentic, but still
good 🙂 I shall think of perhaps making a video sometime.
