I’m confused all over again. I grew up believing that lard was made from
pork fat. Recently, someone said that, no, lard is only made from beef
fat. NOW I come here and see it made from fatback. HELP!!!

    • cowboy8555 says:

tallow is beef fat and lard is pork fat

    • Kayla F says:

… and schmaltz is chicken/goose fat which is delicious in cookies!

What is duck fat called? Well, I mean other than yummy. Janice

    • Kayla F says:

+jksatte I’ve never heard nor seen duck fat called anything other than duck
      fat.

      Edible fats~
Pork: Lard, bacon fat, salo fatback, lardo fatback
Beef/sheep: dripping, suet, tallow, tail fat
Dairy: butter, clarified butter such as ghee
Poultry: Duck, Chicken & goose (schmaltz)
Others like whales, seals and sea cows: blubber
Vegetable: cocoa butter, margarine, shea butter, vegetable shortening

You just discovered the dirty little secret that leftists don’t want us to
know about. Glad you did too. Natural healthy lard and beef tallow are
natures good fats meant for consumption.
Not the toxic man made unnatural imposters pushed by government and the big
corps like in Canada. Any vegetable oil that is not just pressed from a
vegetable or fruit is NOT healthy – period! Only olive oil, flakseed oil,
and coconut oil are good for you, including the solid fats at room temp.
like lard, butter, and beef tallow. All the others like margarine,
shortening, and especially canola (CANadian Oil Low Acid) oil are toxic to
the human body. Ever hear of a canola plant? Of course not.
Solvents are used and other chemicals to clean and process the unnatural
vegetable oils. Canola oil was given GRAS status by the FDA after being
bribed big $ by the Canadian government.

Leftists ARE leftists are leftists. They all have a mental disorder.
Alice in Wonderland syndrome. What is UP is DOWN, and backwards including
      no RIGHT from WRONG.

Again leftists permeate both parties democrat and republican (as RINO’s).
The Founders were Conservative by nature. God gave us our Rights, and the
U.S. Constitution – society as a whole was based on the Ten Commandments.
A Judea-Christian base. Listen to Mark Levin once in a while for an
education on American principals. The alphabet media and public education
run by government spreads lies just like they spread disease.

    • dan meme says:

      +HHH100
Hmm,I thought leftists meant Democrat and Rightist meant Republican.
According to the websites I checked anyway. It all turns into a bunch of
jumbled up bullshit really. People over complicating things…

    • kym cheney says:

+dan meme In my home political talk is not allowed in my kitchen or at the
table. why are you talking political party when the video and subject is
      about fried chicken?

    • HHH100 says:

Because one political party gets into every nook & cranny of our lives from
birth to death, from bathroom to bedroom and tries to force their beliefs
on everyone else through LAWS & FINES. That’s why. Leftism is a mental
      disorder.

    • Marcus Lobenstein (Gogreenbuddy. com) says:

agreed, but what america calls ”left” is extremely rightwing in
succesfull countries like scandinavia / netherlands.

So depending on the country im ”left”, Ironically im neutral/rightwing in
      the netherlands.

  3. How To Burn Body Fat says:

NIce video. I like eating various foods and i am not believer in nutrition
gurus that say people need to stay away from. Body needs all sorts of
    nutrients.

  4. Carmen Perez says:

I am to try it because I cook with oil .

    • Joan Diet Bars says:

My Mami , always cooked with lard. Thanks for the comment.

    • jksatte says:

      +Joan Diet Bars
I would even say when it comes to heating oil for cooking use oils that are
solid at room temperature. That is the safest bet. Janice

  5. paconot says:

how do you discard the pork grease.

    • iooi says:

Leave it cool down until it solidifies then scoop it in a plastic bag and
discard it or mix it with nuts and feed it to the birds. What should NEVER
do is pour it down your kitchen sink especially lamb fat, not unless you
want to pay for plumber to unblock your drain.

    • paconot says:

      +iooi Right, LOL. Thanks

  6. Barsen N. Adelbai says:

looks burnt…several shades later would have been better….i think, at
least that is how i do it

  7. GettnBooted says:

if ur doing ketogenic diet pour that lard grease over the veggies!! Yum
    Yum, don’t waste it!!

  8. smithy smith smith says:

at 0:30 you promised to share. it’s been 5 years. I’m still waiting.

  9. Carol Napolitano says:

Isn’t it healthy to broil, or bake. But , I love fried chicken, so, If you
fry, it’s better to fry in this. I give so much foods away, because it
has H.F.corn syrup in them, even tomato soup, stuffing mix, has some also.
you don’t know how angry I get, when I see It on the food labels. If people
would demand better food they would take it out, they just want cheep food,
not healthy. We deserve better than that, and so do our kids. I think, the
kids get it more than adults, when their parents open a can of this or that
to feed their kids, and don’t care whats on the label. You know they took
it out of Hunts ketchup, people actually complained, and they put it back,
or that was their excuse anyway. What is wrong with some Americans,
today. That stuff goes straight to our livers, that’s why so many people
are cranky tired, bloated, which makes you all the above.

  10. Peter Piper says:

    M-m-m-m-m… Cracklins’

  11. Matieu Jalbert says:

How is this diet? You just fried chicken in pig lard lol.

  12. 01artist says:

What do you do with the rinds after they are done? Can you eat them when
they re cooled down? Just askin as they look like they would be a good
snack. . .Thanks for the tips. . .

  13. Richard Rangel says:

I thought the whole idea of fried chicken was for taste. Just saying.

  14. Carol Napolitano says:

My dad always kept a package of salt pork right in the door of the freezer,
it stays semi hard there, but you can still cut a piece off easy. He would
always start his tomato sauce with it, you don’t have to add any meat if
you don’t have any in the house, just the flavor of the salt pork, not a
lot just a few pieces, add a lot of onions brown them to bring out the
natural sugars, some garlic, add the tomatoes and let it cook, add spices,
salt, pepper if you want, the pork has salt already. I’m so happy your
teaching people about HFCS. If we would demand better food, they would stop
using that poison. I hate when people make all these recipes with Oreo’s
they are loaded with bad things, the company is making millions off of us
getting sick, but they don’t care, I buy the Newman’s brand Oreo type
cookie, taste even better. For a while they stop putting HFCS in Hunts
ketchup, people complained I guess they are so hooked on the sweet flavor,
they don’t like real sugar. They ended up going back to the HFCS brand.
Maybe that was an excuse to go back, but that’s what they said. All the
store brand has HFCS, even mayonnaise has it in there. You have to read the
labels, even if it say’s sugar, keep reading, it can have both. What happen
is, we found out how bad HFCS is that we started to think if something has
real sugar in it it’s so much better, I was doing that, like with the
ketchup, well we don’t eat a ton of that, so if it has regular sugar I
guess it isn’t to bad, but I would see the label read, real sugar, and
think it’s better. The sugar company gets us again! But the HFCS is worst
than sugar, but sugar is bad too.

  15. gabrielknights says:

thanks for sharing, We have been lie to. Lard is healthy to eat.

  16. Plato says:

Damn… Gonna be hard for me to find a girl that can cook like that…
Girls my age today care more about Instagram than cooking or college… Or
anything else that’s, you know, IMPORTANT.

  17. ale achaval says:

    yummmmmy

  18. veronica “veronica” mcpherson says:

I love how a weight loss commercial is shown right before how to fry
chicken in “lard” lol.. People back in the south used lard, my great
grandmother and grandmother used lard and they lived a long life so, I
think it;s perfectly ok to cook with, Better than veg oil which is terrible
for frying because it gives off or releases these chemicals in the air when
it goes beyond the smoking point burning my eyes very badly.Plus the taste
can’t be beat preparing they way u did.

  19. louie branko vidaury says:

did you put flower on the chicken
